Wrote up my thoughts on all the nonsense replies I've been getting falsely claiming that @schumer.senate.gov can't do anything and I should stop telling him to do more.

There's a TON that he can do, as I outline in the piece. And he's doing basically none of it.

A bonkers, historically accurate sentence: the Trump regime conspired with the Maduro regime to overthrow the Maduro regime and replace it with the Maduro regime instead of the democratically elected Venezuelan government that won the 2024 presidential election there by 34 points

January 6, 2021 was the most shameful day in American history. It should live in infamy. We will never forget it, and we will not let the nation or the world forget — despite the revisionism of Trump and his lackeys in the Republican Party.

I don’t even feel enraged anymore when I see this stuff. I’ve moved on to just quiet acceptance that we don’t have a functioning political system.

I don’t know if it’ll last, but now I just feel numb when elected Democrats help Trump by voting for his nominees or refuse to put up any fight.
Chuck Schumer rejecting out of hand the one point of leverage he has, the one that was actually working really well last year until he caved, is the most Chuck Schumer he can be.

Since Zohran Mamdani took office, the US has conducted an illegal invasion of Venezuela, bellicosely threatened to do the same in Greenland, and launched proceedings against Sen. Mark Kelly for exercising his First Amendment rights. At what point does the Left admit it made a grievous mistake?

At this point, the reporters should just collectively tell the HHS senior officials, “Fuck off.”

End the press call right there.

This is not a matter of national security. Their jobs are not in danger. They are representing an official government policy. One that affects every single American.
RFK Jr's HHS had a press call to announce they were — based on no new data — overhauling the childhood vaccine schedule. Senior officials at HHS answered questions but refused to go on the record, saying we could only attribute the quotes to "officials." www.washingtonpost.com/health/2026/...
U.S. overhauls childhood vaccine schedule, recommends fewer shots
The U.S. no longer broadly recommends vaccines for flu, hepatitis A and B, and RSV. Health officials say the guidance aligns with that of peer countries.

Maybe they should heal themselves first.
New York's new warning label law for social media is pathetic grandstanding and will only end badly. It shows no indication that the authors even tried to understand what websites *exist* in the modern world.
