The Formula 1 logo is so stylized that I keep just reading this as “Brad Pitt: The Movie”

I know the MTA means well but “Accidents can happen when people stand too close to the platform edge“ sounds distinctly like a threat

Yesterday I saw a car with a single antler. Haunting
People who put little antlers on their cars: we aren’t stupid, we can still tell they are cars

You keep saying American Canto… but I think you really mean American Wonto

Unpopular opinion: “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is a good song.

An all-time classic? No. Overplayed? Of course. But structurally, harmonically, melodically, lyrically... it’s a very solid song! If you were told Arlen and Mercer or Shuman and Pomus wrote it, you wouldn’t bat an eye

Just noticed that the New York Post has an account on here that gets as close to zero interaction as is conceivable for a major metropolitan newspaper

Looking at Tailwind CSS for the first time and this (in a “Managing duplication” section) feels very wrongheaded to me? “It takes a lot of keystrokes to make changes” is not the only thing solved by introducing abstraction!

John Cazale. I’m not going to have much time to watch movies
This is a Bill Simmons game, but you’re stranded on a desert island. You can only have one actor’s filmography. You get it all, including cameos. But just the one performer.

I’m taking Cate Blanchett: Talented Mr. Ripley, LOTR, Life Aquatic, Black Bag, Tár, Ponyo, Hot Fuzz, Eyes Wide Shut, Thor

Suckers they be saying they can platform Alan Dershowitz
Just in case you thought this was a ridiculous hypothetical, it’s actually a thing she did, and it’s racked up one thousand three hundred big views on youtube in the 7 hours it’s been up, so take that libs.

I am once again asking online merchants to make “Sleeve Length” a standard filter. I don’t want short-sleeve shirts when shopping for long-sleeve shirts, or vice versa

A number of people have suggested this but honestly I think it’s just as important to ban the second person. Do not address me
my most butlerian jihad coded belief is that we should probably make it illegal – and more importantly, we should work toward a cultural consensus that it is immoral – to design a computer program whose interface uses the first person

I once watched half a season of 30 Rock in reverse order due to a confusing DVD menu
Accidentally started watching Pluribis from episode 4 and was greatly admiring that it didn’t fuck around and got straight to it then towards the end I thought “wait when do they flashback to the whole setup” then checked and thought “balls” so now in two minds on whether to watch the first three.
