there is no more blatant a stamp of ownership over a person’s identity than the “amended” birth certificate that erases a child’s genealogical history and substitutes a fictitious one for the benefit of the child’s adopters. this document is a property deed to the child’s identity.

sometimes i get frustrated with people who say ignorant things about adoption and then i remember the extremely well funded propaganda industry and the fact that adoptees only make up 2-6% of the population in the US. we are so drowned out, nobody even hears from us or wants to most of the time.

I’m unsure what other adoptees mean by “real”. My adoptive family exists because the legal system erased the origins of me and my adoptive siblings and replaced those origins with false birth certificates. How is that real? 🥚

No one’s rights supersede the adoptee’s right to their original birth certificate - not the mother, father, adoptive parents, or state. It’s the adoptee’s birth certificate and their right to have. All states need to correct this human rights violation and unseal adoption records. #adopteerights

It's against international law & US law. It's also an poor way to fight drug smugglers. To be useful, they stop the boats, & search for illegal substances. If they find any, they seize it as evidence & arrest the crew for questioning, to learn who's running the drug cartel & arrest them.
