Abortion is clearly a winning issue. It won this Election Day. It won in previous cycles. The problem isn't abortion, but the finger-pointers aren't ready to admit that they're the real problem. This is exactly why I said I was squeamish about anyone assuming that abortion would do the heavy lift.
Woke up this morning remembering how, after Kerry's 2004 loss to W, the Democratic party and the press decided it was abortion's fault. When I tell you that this is not an exaggerated memory:
