The thing that's the most egregious about this cover up is that before all this happened, there was evidence from similar policy changes in the United States of rises in suicidality amongst trans youth (and also significant drops in youth LGBT suicide with pro LGBT policies).

underrated concept when thinking about patriarchal oppression is the concept of Brotherhoods -- the fraternities of "boys' networks" that deliberately exclude based on race & gender in part through sustained and continuous actions of racism and misogyny to maintain them
the Epstein files are really devastating because they remind me of how many girls and women miss out on professional opportunities, mentorship and careers because of how many powerful, rich and influential men only view girls and women — and interactions with them — through the lens of sex
