I think "degeneracy" is the only term other than "cancel culture" I know of that have undergone something like a reverse co-option, where the original usage is very purposeful, if amorphous, a sort of "that's the enemy. Get them" shorthand, but the "progressives" have decided to soften and cloak it

Honestly the ills of AI production would at least be somewhat easier to accept if it had an upshot, like it actually improved something, anything.
But it's just a toy.

Personally I think all research on political affiliations and attitudes towards this or that is inherently without value when it stretches from "very, very liberal" to "very, very conservative" for the same reason I think a study referring to reverse as "very stationary" is untrustworthy.

I do not like how much sense the dark forest makes to me and part of it is because it is very depressing but a lot of it is because it's a plot mcguffin for a nearly 2decade old sci-fi book that was just kinda dished out towards the end rather than some Big Important Book by a Known Intellectual

I mean, beyond the whole "well Ghandi's thing didn't really work as well as people like to believe and wasn't the only thing going on" thing, it's also worth noting that, unlike the US, India wasn't an autonomous nation doing All That Shit because a large segment of Indian society wanted them to.
