For those w/ social anxiety, calling this late at night means there's virtually no chance you have to worry about talking to an actual person. Take your time, write out what you want to say, call, read your script, and hang up.

If that's too much, all reps and senators have contact forms. Use them.
You can find your US reps and senators here: reps.fyi

If you call now, you'll get an answering machine and you can leave a message. A great thing to do if you're nervous about talking to someone. Just give your name, your zip code, and demand they impeach Trump for illegally invading Venezuela.

Speed Racer should’ve been as much of a Summer hit in 2008 as the rest (get that weak Hulk shit off my track) and Bill of Digital Bits put all the right words into why people are reappraising it later. Glad to hear it’s being remastered for next year.
Today on @thedigitalbits.bsky.social website – EXCLUSIVE: Speed Racer (2008) is coming to 4K in 2026 & Happy New Year from The Digital Bits!

365 Days of Tunes - 365/365:
We end now with a true masterpiece released 70 years ago: ONE FROGGY EVENING (’55). In it, a mysterious frog emerges from a box found inside the cornerstone of a demolished building—he sings and dances, but only in the presence of the workman who discovered him.
One Froggy Evening (1955)
Released on December 31, 1955.

Animation credits in general are currently an unchecked mess on IMDb, not just for voice actors. Newer artists aren’t being updated while industry vets are ‘credited’ on movies they didn’t work on but are approved and validated with a “(rumoured)” bracket. People I know are getting fooled.
IMDb Credits: We are aware of what has happened and are in contact with IMDb.

At this time we know that IMDb is actively looking into this.

If you are missing credits, please email your IMDb link to reporting@navavoices.org

It’s really alarming how quickly the quality of our digital lives is deteriorating. Foisting AI onto Adobe users but then making it impossible for them to work without an internet connection is diabolical.
As someone who often conducts fieldwork in remote places, I find it really irritating that many basic applications now require an internet connection to function.

I want to air this off my chest and say movie studios need to relax before they spoil their reveal of their movie within at least a month or less while it is out. I don't know if the Netflix generation may have done damage to casual perception but I can't brush these feelings off like it's nothing.

For many years this was only available in a beaten up VHS transfer, by now multiple versions and edits of Nutcracker Fantasy are online in good quality. As a movie its characters and narrative hook are thin, but as a piece of animation it is absolutely remarkable (and weird!) for the late 70s.
Nutcracker Fantasy is hands down the most gorgeous stop motion movie ever made. It's MOM Productions, the studio that did work for Rankin Bass, at the height of their prowess. It should be on TV every year. aftermath.site/sanrio-film-...

Now, the animation is split between Preston Blair (Junior leaves and slides down banister; CU of Wolf outside; Wolf as Santa down chimney, whole exchange with Junior) and Ray Abrams (Junior calls to Santa and Wolf appears; Wolf dons Santa disguise). Ed Love's work is at the end ("SUCKER!").

This is still a hill I'm willing to die on.

Sailor Moon fandom would be nothing in North America without Canada's massive support in the '90s. The fact that they get ignored for pretty much everything is genuinely shitty, as it's clear that folks forgot who made it a success to begin with.
Hot take: Every North American thing revolving around Sailor Moon - Sera Myu shows, merch tie-ins, etc., should prioritize Canada and treat the US a secondary priority, instead of the other way around

The series was HUGE in Canada from day one, and a major part of the Canadian Millennial experience

That feeling when you get hit with an existential concern over whether or not I’ve used my life wisely, made much of a personal impact on others and being without someone close… triggered by a cinematic credit card ad while chewing popcorn.
