Considering what Trump's doing to LA right now, this past aged quite well, if I do say so myself.
So, as usual, a Trump henchmen slipped & accidentally told the truth. They weren't fired for poor performance or save money, only to ensure that they don't get in the way with a pesky Posse Comitatus Act argument when Trump again attempts to use the US military as law enforcement on US soil.

I don't care if Biden was rolling through the West Wing on a daily basis (he wasn't, THAT would have been big news & not kept secret for Tapper's Book of Exaggeration) - Joe got the job done, made sense in interviews except when ill & regularly went on long bike rides around Rehoboth Beach w/him.

Every word of this. I know that Trump seems untouchable, given the SCOTUS immunity ruling, but his underlings are decidedly NOT immune. Haul their asses into court and jail them for contempt if they don't bring answers.
If I were Judge Xinis, I would order the government to produce, in her courtroom, officials who were in a position to answer her questions and to do so under oath.

Letting DOJ continue to prevaricate and deflect responsibility in written submissions seems ... insufficient at this point.

Perhaps the Chief Justice could have used a little common sense & whole lot of the rule of law last year & not declared Trump immune from prosecution. It was 1000% predictable that Trump & his cronies would interpret immune as omnipotent.
NEW STATEMENT FROM CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS:

"For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose."

This was 100% predictable and it sure felt like a whole lot more than a 3% increase to me here in the Nashville area - more like 10% bumper in my weekly cost. And my monthly trip to Costco was about 20% higher than normal, and I want panic-buying.

Finished this baby cardi for my husband's colleague. Berroco Comfort (purple) & Premier Everyday (white) from my stash, pattern is Porthole Cardogan by Lisa Clarke. Slip stitch colorwork above the cuffs is Mt pattern mod. Needs a wash & whatever blocking can be done on acrylic.

I am struggling so hard to adjust to having a 20 month old and a newborn. And like my house is a disaster, I can’t keep up on anything and tbh I just want to hide under my blankets bc I feel like the biggest failure.

Is there any risk that am appeals court will overrule the complete lack of punishment in the sentence & put him in jail or on probation or something?

Things I wonder about...
Criminal sentences aren't really final until they're affirmed on appeal. By sentencing Trump, Judge Merchan triggers the timeline for him to appeal and speeds that process on its way.

Between medical appts & other errands, vacation hasn't really felt fun & I only have 2 days left. Was hoping to go to Joann for some lipstick red acrylic to make a warm scarf for my daughter today, but that didn't happen. I'm knitting a scarf anyway, though, LOL, just in wrong yarn from my stash.
