Even if you don't have time to read all 83 pages of Judge Reyes's opinion barring the Trump administration from rescinding Temporary Protected Status for 350,000+ Haitians, please at least check out the four-page introduction.

It's a tour de force:

"With a judicial finger in the constitutional dike"
Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

TAPPER: You called Renee Good a "domestic terrorist." Why did you not wait for an investigation?

NOEM: Everything I've said has been proven to be factual and the truth. This administration wants to operate in transparency.

T: What you said is not what happened

N: It absolutely is what happened

Take Kristi Noem at her word. They are following policy. Those 4th Amendment violations, excessive force, shootings, and unjustified killings? Per ICE policy.

Hey #legalbluesky do you have a Project 2029 list, and what are your top 5 legislative actions that you’d put on that list?

Imagine the reverse of today - a Dem trifecta. Earliest date would be 2029. What’s on your Project 2029 top 5?

Mine:
- Amendments
—no POTUS immunity
—Right to privacy (re: Dobbs)
—Consider elected AG
- Codify
—private right of action for VRA, constitutional rights violations
—disqual. under 14A

tl;dr: The question is unsettled enough that the question isn’t laughable, but the answer should still be no. But there’s no remedy even if it is unconstitutional.

I am adding “4A violations codify private right of action” to my “Project 2029” note

Is it just me, or should it be a bigger deal that Trump gave a eulogy for the international rules-based order, declared the USA a “great power”, and named names on some countries that are not?
