Activism is the antidote to failing governments. Get active. Talk to friends and family. Join activist groups or start one of your own. Ring, write to and meet your MPs. Don’t accept inaction on climate, education, healthcare, aged care, corruption, lack of housing, NACC…
I get that the govt is failing in its responsibility to fill its job description but if we do nothing and just allow them to keep going are we any better?

Most of heritage stances these days look to me like just nimbyism.

And then of course there's plenty of real heritage (thinking rock art for a start) not getting protected.

It's destroying any joy there was in marking assignments.

It creates distrust between educator and student (both directions) because some are using it to write assignments or mark essays, so you need to be vigilant with ALL.

Most importantly, it's reducing critical thinking and writing skills!
Can I quietly ask we stop talking about what "AI" *could* do in education and identify instead what's actually happening with AI in education? I'll start...

I don't think this will actually happen. But if it does, the UK should simply start subjecting the actions of US-owned social media platforms in this country to British law. Incitement, defamation, intellectual property.
Buckle up - because this now amounts to a direct and deliberate attack on our country and its cultural sovereignty. Which side our politicians take - Trump's or the BBC's - over the coming days and weeks will speak volumes about their patriotism.

To have any type of documentary done on Gough Whitlam by Greg Jennett. Was the biggest insult to Whitlam and his legacy. That it was only one half hour's worth of a so called documentary was disgraceful and disgusting. Even Howard the criminal and the lnp got longer documentaries.

Traditionally, actual socdem parties have addressed the causes of fascism holistically through redistributive taxation and securing the material basis of existence for the masses - housing policies, education policies, adequate health care etc. If Labor doesn't this time, then fascism is on them.

There's also some nice landscaping on the platform with old railway artefacts.

There isn't a main commercial area of this small town, so the west exit leads to houses while the east exit to a dirt road and forest. But there are some nice old cafes a short walk away.

Gorgeous.

The pedestrian bridge is a basic steel truss and unsheltered. The addition of lifts was recently announced.

On the city-bound platform is another brick heritage building. The old signs advertise a dining room and bar, but only the waiting room was still open. (3/4)
