Apple intelligence "live translation" makes absolute nonsense out of spoken Bahasa Indonesia. Especially when lots of acronyms are thrown in. It's hilarious nonsense but such a distraction I've given up.

When your hotel's IT people don't understand how Wi-Fi host isolation works. I wonder what Josh would think if he got a request to let me stretch my desktop onto his MBA...

Twenty hours from home to central Jakarta. Would be so nice to get that Wellington to Singapore flight back again, it made working in SEA so much easier.

The Wi-Fi was down almost the entire route AKL-SIN today so I got some TV in. Got through nine episodes of The Pitt. Thank fuck I don't live in America anymore. City hospitals were scary enough 25 years ago before fentanyl, rampant gun crime, epidemic obesity, & antivax... can't imagine it now.

Why the lame attempt at data harvesting Air New Zealand? What are you doing with the email addresses you collect when people want to use in-flight Wi-Fi? Obviously nothing with the ones I've supplied.

Love it how LinkedIn will blindly announce work anniversaries for members who haven't used the site in years. Saw a 25th announcement today for a guy I know has been gone 13 years.

DNS request traffic to @cloudflare.social 1.1.1.1 resolver has also seen a significant increase, with growth starting on 17-Jan and exceeding pre-shutdown levels the next day. TXT record queries have grown to be the majority of the request traffic.

As two full weeks of #IranDigitalBlackout approaches, traffic again began to grow, starting around 18:00 UTC on 21-Jan. The growth was driven by large increases across several ASNs, and could potentially be related to an expanding whitelist of domains.

AI report writing style jumps off the page to me now. I'm not mad when I keep encountering it, but increasingly disappointed. My brain doesn't need that many words. I don't need to be told the framework is robust. Uugh.

The service became synonymous with censorship-proof connectivity. Iran has just proved that assumption wrong.
