Meow.
One of Meow's closest friends was an artist (murdered by the malicious negligence of an ex-boyfriend and the inept US health system). So yes, this resonates with Meow.

Make beautiful art, @onegemini.com. Or not.
Still looking to raise some funds so I can get back to work. Been a thin few years, and this is happening just as I’m trying to finish a big personal project, and also means, I can’t take on any jobs in the meantime.

Any help, even sharing, is appreciated.

Thanks!

There's lots of talk about "digital sovereignty" – but what does that exactly mean? Well, avoiding vendor lock-in and economic dependency for starters. Learn how the Open Document Format (ODF) helps here: blog.documentfoundation.org/blog/2025/11...

Meow. Art is worth having. Artists are the voice of humanity. The economic benefit is nice but ... not even the best benefit.
Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

I wish to have a parrot friend on Zoom
Pet parrots which typically live alone (whilst those in the wild live in large flocks) were given the technology to call each other. They would use it for up to three hours a day, and developed favourite friends 💔

CSS === cell-site simulators.

I was very confused as to how cascading style sheets could be used for surveillance.
Just because CSS don't appear to be used to spy on protests in the US right now doesn't mean that is true everywhere. We are interested in getting Rayhunter data from every country to help us understand the global use of CSS and to refine our signatures. www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
Rayhunter: What We Have Found So Far
A little over a year ago we released Rayhunter, our open source tool designed to detect cell-site simulators. We’ve been blown away by the level of community engagement on this project. It has been

So speaks someone whose needs of food, shelter, and safety are met, and does not depend on their art to provide them.

Tell your hungry daughter, cold and shivering in the rain, that 'nothing else matters'.

Keep telling yourself that, too. May it remain true for you, your friends, and your family.

rinse and repeat
Here's the trick:
1. Provide space for smthn horrendous (sexism, racism, child trauma, medical harm).
2. Get caught.
3. See if it "blows up".
4. Put out comms to you are "working on" "improving" the issue.
5. People forgive you bc (4) --> blow up goes away
6. Continue the same toxic patterns.

Science without humanities is like a woodshop without a woodworker. Useless. What good are the tools to understand and manipulate the universe without an understanding of the goals?
Universities are not fighting because many of them agree
In which a Yale prof calls for jettisoning humanities to make way for science-only universities.

“scientists… are being punished for the sins of [humanities scholars] because we all live under one roof. I cannot see a compelling reason for our continued cohabitation.”

Not only will we continue to demand the release of the unredacted (other than that of the victims), Epstein files, we demand the victims be heard!
We don't care what a convicted sex trafficker has to say. The only voices that matter are those of the victims.

No I need this person named and honored in high HIGH praise

This so genius

It frames the technology as something that exists , and builds the skills it’s atrophying , while also letting students judge for themselves its success. making them describe what they experience and what they value
This is one of the best ideas I've heard in ages.
