But seriously, years of people trying to devalue what I do gets to you, and while I have no problem charging a client a set amount, I feel like a kid with crayons once I offer a cousin to "draw them something."

My father had to point out to me, the fact I'm broke and offering to my relatives to draw them something as a gift is not in fact "cheap" or lousy.

This is a really good point that I had not run into before: these "creators" have no further insight into their alleged creation than the average audience member and that is why it cannot be called art (besides all the other obvious reasons).
