In Dallas there is 1 religious institution per 900 people, which works out to being about 1,475 churches. The latest estimate is that there are 3,541 homeless individuals in Dallas. We just need each religious organization to adopt 3 people in need of food and shelter. We must do better. #momsky

During my divorce, I earned just barely enough to not qualify for SNAP. My card declined at the register as I was trying to buy the lactose free formula at Whole Foods that my twins needed. The cashier had compassion and gave me a tub. My ego was bruised but I accepted it because my kids needed it.
