I will note that Nikita on Strictly got his own way with costume this week. He ditched the jacket, the sheer t-shirt and managed to trade classic paso trousers for leather. From Vicky Gill’s wardrobe ideas on Thursday he only kept the harness 😁

So returning at Blackpool for Strictly Come Dancing are four of the best dancers the show has ever seen - Jay McGuinness, Danny Mac, Ashley Roberts and Layton Williams. This could be fab-u-lous!

Loving today's news that the mysterious "fedora man" outside the Louvre heist was actually a 15-year-old museum visitor who dresses like a 1940s French detective all the time, just because. apnews.com/article/louv...

Rosalind Franklin was only 37 when she died of ovarian cancer and she had ALREADY discovered the shape of DNA. She did not live to see her erasure by the Nobel committee in 1962.

Anyway, fuck this guy and restore funding to the cancer moonshot, so the next Rosalind Franklin can live.

i hope this election cycle empowers everyone the next time a centrist liberal says to drop pro-trans and pro-immigrant rhetoric to enthusiastically tell them to shut the fuck up

Sobering news for a lot of top Democrats, tonight, as they realize people would prefer they actually fucking do something.

They just gutted Teen Vogue which had top notch political journalism. The media is continuing to purge any sort of political dissent to Trump and the oligarchs.

The thing about universal basic income is: it works. Every time. Every study. The participants, the community, the local economy: all benefit.

Yet it’s still treated like wishful thinking instead of a practical solution to existing problems.

So having seen this costume/puppet and the first night bow I am looking at ticket prices for Paddington the Musical. This is possibly the most adorable stage creation ever.

Lewis has absolutely won the ringer wars with a well deserved 40 to the most theatre kid routine I’ve seen on Strictly Come Dancing. Just fantastic!

I know I look younger than my age but a sales guy trying to get my attention on street with “excuse me miss are you over 18 yet” is clearly conversation bait 😂

Why did they dress George Clarke like the 1970s kids tv version of Harry Styles on #SCD? They could have just stuck him in the actual ‘As It Was’ video outfit and it would have worked

Went to a nearby market town today and found these. I’ve named the first one ‘Knock off Noctis’ as he’s clearly not the most official figure ever but he’s recognisable and only £14. The Kingdom Hearts figures on the other hand are legit and still boxed for £18

Listening to “Welcome to the Black Parade” twice in the last day whilst also being in the middle of a Strictly Come Dancing series has led me to believe “Dead” would make an amazing Halloween Quickstep on the show

Dan Mora’s Jason Todd Batman in KnightFight is looking good - even if Jason has gone for the smallest bat ears possible. As ever Jason appears to be the bat kid physically closest to Bruce in size

My new / old watch. A 1980s Seiko 5 from Etsy for £42 - some minor scuffs and a bit of a scratch on the glass but looking good for its age. And no need for batteries!

Currently playing “Ghost of Yotei”. There’s a plot in there somewhere but I’m too busy finding shrines, learning shamisen songs, making sumi-e paintings, petting foxes and photographing “101 views of Mount Yotei” to care

Been interested in buying a vintage style automatic watch. And getting lots of ads for seiko, timex, and even accurist as a result. Nowadays a good watch is minimum £200 so I realised best option - Etsy and an actual 1980s seiko automatic for £42. It says it’s working order and condition looks ok
