Our local law enforcement officers do not conduct themselves this way — they have clear rules for the use of force, don’t hide behind masks, and are accountable to our community. Federal law enforcement should be held to that same standard.

There must be a full and independent investigation of the shooting immediately so that any wrongdoing can be held accountable. DHS cannot and must not investigate itself. We are clearly well beyond the point where Congress must also provide strenuous oversight.

This martyr could be any of us. He is doing what so many of us have been trained to do. Standing and recording on his phone, trying to warn his neighbors, and now he’s dead because armed, masked federal paramilitaries are acting with impunity to perform ethnic cleansing.
Video before it happens is showing this guy they shot in the head in Minneapolis was just standing there videoing them before and they got out to push him back and then murder him.
