Yikes 😬 an official U.S. government account just referred to Americans as “imbecilic morons.” That’s… a choice.

Brett Meiselas: If the Epstein files had all this evidence that showed Trump actually was not involved and it actually incriminated all these Democrats, Trump would be the first to release them.

But there is a reason that they are keeping all of this information hidden from the American public.

Count the ways they’re corrupting DOJ: Presidents don’t direct AG’s to open criminal cases, especially ones designating only Dems for investigation when POTUS himself is involved. DOJ doesn’t publicize criminal investigations & the AG definitely doesn’t assign them on Twitter.

Note: A lot of people keep asking why the docs released the other day weren't released under Biden.

The short answer is 1) alleged ongoing investigation/prosecution, 2) scope 3) Privacy Act and 4) CVRA, which mandates that victims hear from DOJ.

It matters that DOJ is ignoring the latter.
“So you’ve heard nothing from this administration as this has been playing out?”

With all the shady evidence coming out (with more to follow), MAGA is pivoting from “It's a hoax! Donald Trump had no relationship with Jeffrey Epstein!” to “Yeah, what’s the big deal about trafficking 15-year-olds anyway?”

They don't have facts or a real case to go to war with Venezuela, just hysterical drug accusations. Trump needs a war as a distraction. Venezuela is the pawn and innocent people will die as a result.
Bacon: "If we're gonna go to war with Venezuela, the president needs to make his case. And they've done 0 on this. He needs to come to Congress."

This may be Trump's perfect social media post. A true work of art. He confirms:

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

Bonus points for connecting it to investigation of his fondness for Putin.👀

I understand how paragraphs like this emerge from the editing process, but of course “little attention has been given” to a story no one knew about a minor victim whose identity was protected by a bunch of laws.

As Schmidt says in his post, this is our first encounter with this information.
