The Gone World by Tom Sweterlitsch was pitched to me as a read-alike for Event Horizon, and DAMN if it didn’t scratch that itch! Finished it last night and will be thinking about it for a long time. I am picky about time travel books but this was near perfect.

“Write to the market.”

You’ll never catch the market. By the time you’ve written it, the market is gone. Write what you’re on fire to write, and sometimes the market shows up.

I am so ready
We're open for early subs from Dec 24-31! If you're an equity-deserving writer, send us SFF short fiction (500-3,500 words) & poetry.

Not sure what we want? Less fabulism and more entrenched fantasy/scifi. We'd love pieces that deliver on the promise of their title (show us the monster!!)

I checked out my Abandoned Video Store Wrapped where they showed me a montage of all the times I ended up in there, wandering the labyrinthine shelves, trying to find my way out. Here and there, I played moldy VHS tapes, watching people in Jeremy masks acting out mundane scenes of my life.
