So first, we gotta start digging into biochemistry, BUT, we have to treat biochemistry like the finite-state machinery that it is. And not the abstract mathematical concept, but the simple machines of physics (lever, pulley, screw, etc) to form active mechanisms like this lock:

This is why I keep screaming about all these ”benchmarks” being a digital simulacrum of the task and not the actual task a human is doing. They should be able get a physical robot to do it for a more accurate comparison to all the things we actually have to do.
Generative AI is the apotheosis of this process. It's praised for doing better than a human on certain tasks, but those tasks were *made for computer logic* in the first place.
The new world will try to convince you that this computer logic is more valuable than your human thought. Defy it.

A neuron is a whole ass organism. Treating them like a simple logic unit or a transistor element is ridiculous.
