🧵There's a line of thought that Trump's victory means progressive causes are doomed in the court of public opinion. I don't think that's true, but I do think it shows more thought needs to be given to what ought to be a tautology but infact often isn't - inclusive progressivism.

The 1975 Sphere "Dad's Army Scripts" features potted biographies of most of the characters - I don't know if they come directly from Perry and Croft, but I hope they do, because they're tremendous and I want them to be true. Wilson's one is *superb*.

The National Gallery in London is renovating its Sainsbury Wing and they’ve just found a secret letter from one of the original donors, sunk into a concrete column, saying that he hates the columns and is glad they’re being demolished.

In 1994 the Pet Shop Boys were invited to perform 'Go West' at the Brit Awards.
They agreed and brought with them 3 separate choirs of miners. Some of those miners had marched with the gay and lesbian members of LGSM in the 1980s. It is one of the great, near-lost music moments

In 1994 the Pet Shop Boys were invited to perform 'Go West' at the Brit Awards.
