And we've taken a very innovative approach to crafting this policy platform. We've taken every imaginable future economic possibility and thrown them against the wall. The ones that stuck to the wall - stayed in the platform. The ones that fell off the wall we will introduce Thursday as new plans.

Platforming multiple far-right media outlets at the Debates is a baffling decision and the Commission is reaping the consequences. Taylor Own has the right and obvious solution - the QCJO criteria.

Pierre Poilievre is a complete embarrassment to Canada and Canadians know this as he sinks further and further in the polls. Incompetent, unintelligent, fascists don’t get elected in our great country.

In case you were still wondering if Pierre Poilievre is MAGA/Trump, read this.

This is an EXTREMELY Trump thing to do.

And he’s getting global attention for saying he’s going to do it.

This is worse than the science-muzzling Harper did.

And Poilievre will go a LOT farther than this.

Remember that time when Polievre was the CPC’s Shadow Finance Minister and advocated Canadians looking into crypto, etc to avoid inflation?

Not so sure that’s the financial acumen I want in someone leading the nation through a turbulent global economic landscape…

In every election I always remember what my high school history teacher told me - vote for the local candidate who would do a great job. I had the chance to meet Adam. He would have done a tremendous job. Instead we have more years of an MPP who hides from his constituents.
“I’m so proud of the campaign we ran,” says Hopkins. Someone points out a tight margin, telling the candidate it’s not over yet. “Oh!” he exclaims.

Dave Smith has had years to advocate for more doctors in this area. Instead, we have fewer doctors and no walk-in clinics offering in-person appointments. Just limited virtual options.

Want to ask him questions about it? Good luck. He’s non-responsive.
The provincial candidates for Peterborough-Kawarath covered a wide range of topics on Tuesday as incumbent Dave Smith insisted "help is on the way" when it comes to health care in the province as he made his pitch to voters to return to Queen's Park.

I had the flu a few weeks ago. It was brutal. Zero stars.

Avoid it if you can. I hadn’t been that sick in years.
FYI, there is a lot of influenza circulating right now in Canada.

The season started a few weeks later than normal but is in full swing now.

What’s the REAL reason Pierre Poilievre won’t get the normal security clearance that everyone in his position gets?

1. His bad excuse —he wants to be able to level uninformed political attacks unburdened by actual information?

2. The worse possibilty that he knows he can’t pass the security check?

Watching Polievre press conference in Vancouver. He’s saying he’ll do something similar to what Musk is doing in the US. Hiring more border guards and firing public servants, but he doesn’t say (or doesn’t know) this will result in fewer services.

People can’t afford to eat but sure, this is good

Cutting off debate, per Robert’s Rules of Order, is meant to end ongoing conversation where there’s no resolution - not to cut off all debate from the get-go.
The ATU 1320 is disappointed in the The Ptbo City Council who voted down a motion to hire two new drivers for our shared community. Nearly every member of council wanted to speak to this, but one councillor ‘called the question’ and shot down the possibility of discussion. That seems undemocratic.

This city council meeting is infuriating. Truly. Hats off to anyone covering it who hasn’t run out of the room screaming.

Ohhhh…running the city like a business. Let’s go back a few years to when a fellow named Larry O’Brien became Mayor of Ottawa on the promise of running the city like a business. Fun fact - it didn’t go well.
Riel talking about the "marching orders" council gave staff, but saying things that are not direction council ever gave. Complete fucking failure of council to articulate any sort of vision or priorities and now *they're* cranky about it.

Also he wants to run the city like a business.

No they don’t. Canada and Mexico want none of this. They want the president of the United States to respect and abide by the trade treaty he negotiated with them - and not make up bogus pretexts for plunging us all into a gratuitous no win economic debacle.
