The President of the United States has criticized an ally for not surrendering to an invading army sent by an enemy dictator.

He literally blamed them for the war because they didn’t just surrender.

The U.S. should absolutely stand with Ukraine. This is embarrassing.

Trump is gutting Christian ministries that serve the poor . . . while MAGA Christians cheer.

And if you object to the human suffering they cause, then they accuse you of displaying "toxic empathy."

No, really: www.nytimes.com/2025/02/13/o...

Pastors: it's a great day to check in on the widows in your congregation. Valentine's Day can be a hard one, especially that first year or two alone.

Composure, Saints! This is a vital witness to our faith in Christ in any era of chaos.

Upon waking, let us meet with Jesus and trade our fear & anger for his courage & compassion.

Rely on God.
Read Scripture.
Be brave.
Pray valiantly.
Act like grownups.
Help the hurting.
Love defiantly.

2,000 years after it was first asked, the question, “And who is my neighbor?” (Luke 10:29) is one of the simplest ways to assess the degree to which we take the teachings of Jesus seriously.

It is disorienting to see that in 2024, it's necessary to remind people that vaccines are a great boon to mankind and that shooting someone in the back is morally wrong.

These are the people who would be dramatically harmed by Medicaid cuts.

—Pregnant woman (and unborn babies)
—-People with disabilities
—-Poor senior citizens
—-Vulnerable children

Balance the budget but not by cutting basics for the most vulnerable.

Ample opportunity elsewhere.

God arrives in a manger.

We want generals.
Angels call shepherds.

We want religious uniformity.
Magi come.

We want political uniformity.
Foreign kings gather.

We want a warrior prince.
Jesus comes as the prince of peace.

In any situation, look for those with the least power, those least able to influence the outcome of the situation. These are "the least" and "the last" Jesus especially calls us to love as ourselves, to prioritize their needs as if their needs were our own.

In Matthew 25, Jesus describes true converts as being marked by a peculiar empathy toward the poor, marginalized, and incarcerated.

But he describes false coverts as being outwardly religious but marked by a peculiar callousness toward the poor, marginalized, & incarcerated.

For Christian conservatives rightly (imo) concerned @ the lives of the preborn, we need you to speak up against cuts in Medicaid, which saves the lives of our already born children w/special needs & other vulnerable people.

Prolife needs to trump your fiscal conservatism IF you’re really prolife.

Ok, who else is working on how to disconnect some from the T train continual madness for sake of their own soul while balancing the need to speak up for those being harmed-even when it seems utterly useless to do so?

Love some wisdom. Give me what ya got? I’d be grateful.
