I find it soooo strange when someone you see every day in your neighborhood when you’re walking your dogs is rude to you in your local bakkal/bodega.

Oh my, this soup is extradinary! Simple to make, a delicate broth...and it is pure comfort food. Aïgo-boulido is garlic soup. Pure magic.

Part of the pleasure (?) of living on the other side of the world is waking up to see the nonsense that has occurred as you slept.
I’m afraid that if I go to sleep, I’ll miss more weird stuff I don’t want to know about horrible people I wish I’d never heard of.

Procrastination win! My television hasn't worked for MONTHS but I just didn't have it in me to deal with the cable company or TV repair or WHATEVER. So I've been watching Netflix on my laptop. Today I turned on the TV and magically, it works!

I think about this every day.
Sort of feel like the combination of “you must work productively if you want to be allowed live” and “technology will allow production without the expense of human labor” should be a bit of a giveaway as to capitalism’s murderous intentions.
