I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

🧵Solidarity with Francesca Albanese.

She is facing a barrage of lies and smears + the Trump Admin is calling on the UN to fire her.

Why? Because there is simply no arguing with her devastating new report on the companies profiting from genocide.

Stay tuned for our interview on @zeteo.com.

The thing is, even for what most (white) people take as their model of effective protest, contemporaneous polling showed that most white people still felt it was harmful to the cause. In other words, the finger-waggers will never approve of a protest, even if it remains nonviolent.
While a majority supported the Civil Rights Act of 1965, a year later 85% of white respondents said civil rights demonstrations hurt the cause of advancing rights for Black Americans.

This suggests that the popular perception of how the movement achieved change is deeply flawed.
