So now we're at Keith Wilson Is A Lying Nazi levels of derangement here on Bluesky
Hey Portland, dash off a quick message to your councilors ASAP denouncing Mayor Weasel Wilson’s lying Nazi email

KGW will be covering @councilormorillo.bsky.social's proposed budget amendment to gut city clean up efforts tonight on The Story. Expect Wednesday to be a very contentious town hall. Portland voters have been burned by city council too many times and this move by Morrillo may be the last straw.

I don’t think people understand how organized pro-sweep turnout will be to wednesdays council meeting.

Register for item 8 ASAP. If you can’t make it, testify in writing:

The Impact Reduction Program also provides trash abatement, which is essential in maintaining clean, walkable sidewalks for all Portlanders. We shouldn‘t cut their budget.

Portland DSA city council members @councilormorillo.bsky.social + @councilorgreen.bsky.social & @councilordunphy.bsky.social are trying to defund Impact Reduction Program in response to @mayorkwilson.bsky.social enforcing camping ban. This means more camps, more garbage and more waste on our streets

Portland is going to increase property taxes 3% for the Parks Levy. Portlanders continue to tax themselves like they live in thriving economic centers like NYC or San Francisco and not a city "ranked second to last in national real estate attractiveness ranking"

We can’t arrest our way out of homelessness, nor should we. But for too long, we have failed to enforce our existing laws on dangerous activities that hurt the community.

The position that people must be allowed to camp on any piece of public property in #Portland for as long as they want until we build a huge amount of social housing (even in the most optimistic timeline would take 25 years) is not sustainable and also not even socialism but extreme libertarianism.
I oppose the resumption of sweeps beginning tomorrow. They are costly, ineffective and cruel. At a time when our Federal government is literally starving our most vulnerable neighbors, we add to that by violently taking from them what little they have? My statement attached.
