i’d also be interested to know how many women in their late 30s/early 40s *suspect* they’re neurodivergent but aren’t seeking NHS help because the NHS is as much help with non-physical ailments* as a chocolate teapot.
*i’m not saying it’s great with physical ones either (i nearly died in 2018)

i have several mental health diagnoses and have always worked, so am the uk government’s ideal. the *only* reason that this is possible is workplace accommodations. HOWEVER! i’ve had to fight my arse off to get those, and my employer *still* acts like it’s a complete shock if i get severely ill.

all in all, its been a successful trip. i wrote 12,000 words, finished reading a book, got my face rubbed, ate way too many cheese toasties, tracked lots of boats, and got to hear loads of my fave movie music.

i don’t know who’s gonna get my spotify wrapped crown this year (hans zimmer has been the reigning champion of 2 years now) because writing has meant i’ve listened to so many different artists this year. but he’s always just gonna be that girl for me. he’s soundtracked my whole adult life.

i was also thrilled that we got “dream is collapsing” rather than “mombasa” because it’s my second fave track after “time”. and it sounded absolutely incredible with a live band.
hearing “time” live was an absolute dream come true, because it’s the fucking goat for a reason. it felt holy.
