I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

There are mistakes - and there is catastrophic cowardice that changes your brand identity.

Boycott Disney.

Front page of todays i, there's a 2 page spread doing Farage's job for him inside plus a side dish of Rayner bashing. Many of us absolutely despair at the failure of most of the media to hold Farage et al to account whilst lambasting Labour for not fixing 14 years of Tory failure in 1 year.

Mosley, Powell - and now Farage - ride on the crest of an inflammatory wave but eventually finish up in the dustbin of British history, in retrospect remembered as sad and despised politicians who tried to build political careers on the back of hate.

I’ve often wondered why Nigel Farage, who as godfather of the Brexit fiasco engineered the biggest British foreign policy disaster since Suez is continually offered so much space in some newspapers and broadcast media. Serious question. Thoughts welcome.

Details, context certainly do matter.
The sympathy this ignorant woman is getting from the usual quarters tells us that people don't care about details/facts.
Hatred of brown people is their primary motivation..
Details matter.
Lucy Connolly had thought her tweet very funny (paragraph 9), and when she realised she was in trouble, said she would "play the mental health card" (paragraph 10).

OPINION: The Trump administration’s AI “action plan” consists of deregulating the nascent industry, exploiting public lands and escalating an arms race with China, Jason Ludwig writes.

It's the racism, stupid.
One basic truth about Trump's America chills me to the bone
I am back to pondering how in the hell we got here, because try as I might, I will never understand how a thoughtful, caring person who truly loves his or her country, could vote for a racist monster ...
