Tell me, marketers:
I buy one product from your website. You add me to a mailing list and proceed to send me at least one spam email per day. I quickly unsubscribe.

But so many websites do it, so this approach must work, right? Am I the one weirdo unsubscriber?

Do you reckon the first time someone ended a story with "but then she woke up and it was all just a dream!" readers were like INCREDIBLE. What a clever twist

I love elections in this country. The ease, the vibe, the sausages. And the WA premier thanking his opponent in his victory speech, saying she's a decent person who's in politics for the right reasons & he's looking forward to working with her in parliament. Please, Australia, don't change. #wavotes

While I obviously understand the long history of paranormal romance, fanfic tropes, etc that Ali Hazlewood's new book is drawing on...

...as an Australian, the title is simply so funny.

If I was a billionaire I would not try to go to Mars or take over the government. I would spend all day secretly paying off people's mortgages and funding their charities and maxing out their gofundmes. I would have so much fun

I spotted a car cruise congregating in the parking lot as I left the shop with my groceries last night. Lots of mods, body kits, underglows etc. "I used to go on car cruises" I whispered as I climbed into my sensible sedan and switched on my Ann Patchett audiobook for my drive home into the suburbs

I've now entered the plotting phase of vacillating every ten minutes between "hey you know what this story might be pretty great" and "GOOD LORD THIS IS THE WORST THING EVER", there is no in between

I've started plotting a new crime comedy and I'm that phase where any idea, no matter how outlandish, goes into the spreadsheet. A fire at a crematorium? In you pop. A plan to kill Grandma? LET'S GO
