There was a piece in the artbook that just wasn't sparking joy. The storytelling was lacking and the visuals were too similar to a few other pieces. So I found the old sketch it was based off and redid it.

I mean pacas even have little hooves! Would South American rodents re-evolve into horses given enough time? I'm prepared to run the experiment myself if need be

SO much of the cultural and artistic nostalgia that society chases was just art made when people got paid to do it. Lavish movie posters made by human artists, video games made by people without sixteen different investment companies breathing down their neck, movies made by studios taking a chance.

Hi! I am Katherine Souza an illustrator, writer, and game designer with a penchant for dark fantasy. My inspirations are fairytales, mythology, and paleontology!

I suspect my burnout has been especially bad lately partly because I recently ended an 11 year and a 9 year hyper fixation. I need something new to get absolutely obsessed with, go through romantic turmoil with, and ultimately seek out as a comfort for the foreseeable future.
