The manicurist saw yesterday was on the newer side, so I was able to sweet talk her into doing an almond shape that my nails were honestly much too short for. At the time, we laughed at all the blood, but today I know I could never stand up to torture. I would cave immediately.

I have written and deleted a lot of posts but I keep thinking about how the brutal assassination of Minnesota State senator Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and their beloved dog Gilbert in June did not prompt this same level of calls for empathy, sympathy, and flags at half-mast.

Due to some roadwork work, and my partner starting up the school year this week, I am stuck today with the unfortunate and insurmountable task of…feeding myself. So far I’ve had 3 mini bags of chips and half a leftover bag of sugar snap peas. Nailing it.

I’ve had a tradition going the past several weeks that I call Pizza Saturday. I used to order a breakfast pizza, but eventually realized that I actually prefer just a regular cheese pizza. Extra cheese. For breakfast. On Saturday. That’s it. That’s Pizza Saturday. It’s the best day of the week.

I’m watching Now You See Me 2, & honestly, it elevates both properties immensely if it’s also a sequel to Harry Potter.
