Hold immediate, public hearings on the President’s attempts to politicize the military and deploy it domestically; pass statutory limits reinforcing Posse Comitatus-style protections. 2. Block any “blank-check” spending deal that enables unlawful executive actions, and reassert Congress’s sole power of the purse with explicit anti-impoundment and anti-“pocket rescission” language. 3. Advance federal protections for free and fair elections and condemn partisan redistricting intended to lock in minority rule. 4. Investigate and, if warranted, impeach officials—including the President—who defy court orders, subvert Congress’s authorities, or weaponize federal power against political opponents.
