Figured out the pipeline for getting to know new interesting people in VR Chat:
- look out for groups that have their own Discord server
- join those Discord servers to know about events in advance
-join events and get to know people

My impression of #furality meetup events is... imagine if VRChat publics had no kids, trolls or silent mirror-dwellers and instead had people talking about interesting stuff, how fun would that be.

3 weeks ago I was at #ibercon. Was my first con where I didn't have any friends attending it and was a bit afraid I would feel lonely, especially with the con being mostly Spanish/Portuguese. А lot of the events were indeed in Spanish, but I did have a good time and got to know lots of new furries.

I wonder why popular species among furries are so different in VR Chat. E.g., few wolves and a lot of novas. Perhaps public avatars for those are so beautiful, people choose them rather than one closer to their fursona? Or most furries in VR Chat decided on their fursona after joining VR Chat? #VR
