I love that the Boston cop slide never got fixed and now people just willingly go down it in tribute. It’s basically a national landmark at this point

Go sweep out
the chamber of your heart
make it ready
to be the dwelling of the Beloved
When you depart, love will enter
In you void of yourself
God will display his beauty

Subject-object reversal. Notice the sense of an internal subject looking outwards towards external sense objects. Then reverse it: the phenomena "outside" become the experiencing subject. Last of all, let the line of demarcation between inside and outside dissolve. Everything will begin to shine.

For today, a #TextileTuesday embroidery thread 🧵🪡
Mary Linwood (1755–1845) was an English textile artist who exhibited her embroidery in Leicester and London.
In 1790, she received a medal from the Society of Arts.
The Mary Linwood Comprehensive School was named in her honour.
Here, an embroidery (!) self-portrait, c. 1785.
And Tigress, c. 1798.

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

I found a poem about picking wildflowers last night by Japanese poet Rin Ishagaki:

‘I plucked wildflowers at Marunouchi in Tokyo.
At the end of the 1920’s
I was in my mid-teens.’

Again, it is a full-blown federal felony crime for anyone in the White House or Executive Office of the President to order tax investigations into anyone.

And it's not just a crime to DO it, it's even a federal crime for an employee not to REPORT such an order to the Treasury Inspector General.
