We’re so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget that the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it’s all about.

If you observe nature and perceive only matter, your attention doesn’t penetrate deeply enough. No matter what’s in your field of vision, quiet your mind, put aside your ideas and let your vision merge completely with the objects of your sense perception: all you will see is God. 🙏

If truth and good are crushed, beauty will perform the work of all three.

Think you know Gnosticism, having read the Gospel of Thomas or Gospel of Mary Magdalene? The Apocryphon of John reveals the whole Gnostic myth, with deep insights on the nature of God, creation and salvation, Sophia (the divine feminine) and the Demiurge Yaldabaoth. www.gnosis.org/naghamm/apoc...

Universal intersubjectivity. 🙏
i cut the tongue out from theism and stitched a new mouth: not Above, not All-is-God, but in each other. God breathes through my atoms; I bruise and God winces. We co-author the pulse. No monarch, no puddle, just a feedback cosmos where transcendence and immanence kiss without swallowing whole.

Is your craving for the Real
greater than the desire
to be seen by others
in some particular way
or is the path overgrown,
obscured by the ego's tangle
of endless self
admiration?

The fruit of meditation is not the absence of thoughts, but the fact that thoughts cease to harm us. Once enemies, they become friends.

Go sweep out
the chamber of your heart
make it ready
to be the dwelling of the Beloved
When you depart, love will enter
In you void of yourself
God will display his beauty

This is no mystery to the awakened heart; Peace on earth to men of universal will, who rise above their selfish limitations and see the world as God would have them see.

Strive each day to make your life purer, richer, and more luminous. You will subtly and imperceptibly lead all of creation heavenward.

Conventional knowledge always deceives
It always limits the Truth; every concept and image does.
From cage to cage the caravan moves,
but I give thanks,
for at each divine juncture
my wings expand
and I
touch Him more
intimately.

Were not the eye like to the sun
The sun it never would perceive;
Were God's own power not in us,
How ever could the Divine enchant us?

But when you see the formless, very holy fire shining by leaps and bounds throughout the depths of the whole world, (then) listen to the voice of the fire.

I'm doing some writing on Socrates, who had a "little daimon" (daimonion), and for background I went back and looked at how Homer and Hesiod used the term. I'm not expert in this area, but here's a summary of what I saw....

Might it be the case that the greatest lesson which #philosophers of #Antiquity—above all #Plotinus— have to teach us is that #philosophy is not the complicated, pretentious, & artificial construction of a learned system of discourse, but the transformation of perception & of life.

We only think that sensate experience and the feeling of conscious being are two different things. In truth, they're only different modes. In meditation, this realization unveils a greater wholeness.

Field of vision implies something outside of "you" but there's no such thing. Your field of vision is really your expansiveness, your field of being. The eye is merely an aperture; your luminosity flows both directions through it. Vision isn't confined to biology: it is light, pervading everywhere.
