Way to speak power to truth
Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

The lesson from New York is that no amount of density and transit access will prevent a small but vocal segment of the population from being complete babies about congestion pricing.

So just do it anyway! Your city will be better for it.

This is what the Canadian left should be running on. People want change, and the only people offering it are the worst people you know.
Run on banning profit in healthcare.

Run on increased funding for public education.

Run on free tuition.

Run on election reform.

Run on banning lobbying.

Run on #OffWithTheirHeads, because that's what the people really want.

A chicken in every pot, dead CEO on every corner.

I don’t understand the level of hate people have for him. Most of my concerns are that he sold himself as a left centre Liberal, but ended up being a centre centre Liberal. Ironically it isn’t those left of him that carry this deep hate for him, it’s the people who he moved closer to politically.
If Trudeau really is resigning this week, then lots of you are gonna need to find a new hobby because hating that man was your whole identity.

I’ve been picking up a number of random new followers. Either the bots have found us on this site, or my infrequent and middling posts are more compelling that I thought.

Maybe Canada should tie less of its identity to the success of teenage hockey players. Nothing wrong with cheering them on or being disappointed when they lose, but let’s not pretend this is a crisis. Out next PM claiming that social programs are the real enemy of the working class, that’s a crisis.

Must admit that I didn’t see this coming. Honestly don’t know enough about the Charge players to form a real opinion. Anyone have some insight?

Office Christmas Party is very underrated. It never comes up but it is an absolute banger of a Christmas comedy.

Hearing more and more chatter that Bo is being shopped. What is he worth? He’s a good player, but what is a realistic return?

Rumours suggest Doug Ford will be dropped in as the CPC leader just in time for the next election. This assumes a Patrick Brown like October surprise to oust Poilievre. Honest question: Assuming one will waltz into office as PM, which is worse?

Hard to argue with this. There’s no way these two coexist unless Trump has no choice in the matter.

It seems pretty obvious that the Federal Liberals are cooked. Why are the NDP so weak? They seem visionless, and irrelevant. This should/could be their moment. Trump’s win and upcoming presidency opened a door for them, but they don’t seem capable of finding it, let alone walking through it.

This has become my daughter and I’s running joke as we drive around the suburbs from hockey rink to hockey rink, constantly stuck in traffic with not a bike lane in site. We shake our fists, and scream “BIKELANES!!!!”
WHICH BIKE LANE DO WE BLAME FOR THIS TRAFFIC?
