There have been 9 deaths in LASD custody in the first 9 weeks of 2025. LA County has still not set forth the MCJ closure plan from March 30th, 2021.

In 1997, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department "made up" evidence against 2 teens to pin a murder on them.

When the real killer - who later confessed - killed again LAPD pinned THAT murder on yet someone else.

When state inspectors visited Men's Central Jail in LA this fall, they found mold, broken toilets & rodent droppings. It appeared that guards weren’t doing their required hourly checks & there were no records of monthly fire inspections.
