I’ve been trying to articulate this forever and this quote says it perfectly. Real hope isn’t passive, it’s active. But it’s also worth remembering that action doesn’t always mean sweeping change or grand gestures. Small choices count too. What a fabulous woman Dr. Goodall was. RIP.

Free and fair elections are good for business. Having a stable rule of law is important to the economy. Not having people afraid to go to work because they might be beaten up or disappeared is essential to a productive workforce. Democracy is essential for a strong economy.
