If you’re looking for something to do, start working on overturning citizens united in your state. States control the power corporations have. Take their political power away with a ballot initiative. Here’s how: open.substack.com/pub/robertre...
How to Get Rid of "Citizens United"
We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

The Democratic base is hungry from AI regulation from their representatives, but the members of Congress hand-picked by Hakeem Jeffries to shape Democratic policy on AI are unlikely to give that to them. From Henry Burke:

It wasn’t “architects” risking their lives to bolt those girders together. Several blue collar workers *died* during their construction of the Empire State Building.

It’s *our* lives the AI tech bros are risking.

Impeachment is a tool for political accountability, not a “sacred” constitutional ritual. If it were truly about evidence, the Senate would’ve convicted Trump unanimously after his coup attempt—the same way every jury has unanimously found him liable or guilty when the facts actually matter.

I keep thinking about how terrible it is that so many people will be losing their health insurance in January due to costs and cuts. I was rejected from insurance once before the ACA [preexisting conditions]. I was hospitalized that year and it almost bankrupted me. We need universal heathcare ASAP.

Trump doesn't have this authority.

States are filling a void left by the federal government's failure to hold AI companies accountable.

But after those companies donated millions to Trump's campaign, his inauguration fund, and his ballroom, Trump is doing their bidding. This cannot stand.

Trump has promised infinite retribution toward the 21 Republican senators in Indiana who voted against the gerrymander today.

Important note: 11 of those 21 Republicans are not up for reelection until 2028.

So 10 have their terms end next year, though at least 2 are retiring anyway.
