You work in a medical setting and you don’t speak to the disabled people for whatever reason, as if they are whole people- those people know it - their caregivers know it. we also acknowledge when you do speak directly to them as if they are whole people, and thank you

Navigating the medical industry with a medically needy child has always been a fun game of trying to understand what the doctor saying. I’m just wondering if it’s me that when this Dr started discussing prophylactics all I could think about was condoms, but she was referring to medicine.
