It’s a recalibration of economic control.

Oligarchs don’t live paycheck to paycheck. They have the capital to buy market dips and recoup faster, acquiring more assets at fire sale prices along the way.

When the dust finally settles, they will own more.

The rest of us will own less. A lot less.

Got off the Max (Portland), with several people others on their way home from the #handsoff rally yesterday afternoon. A large white pick up truck with a large B & W distressed US flag sticker was driving by and the (male) driver slowed up with windows down, and started yelling and swearing. 🧵

Inspired by Cory Booker? Live in Wisconsin? Want to do something about *gestures at everything* but not registered to vote? You can register and vote today! There's still time. The polls are open until 8:00 pm, and if you're registered and in line by that time, stay in line and vote.
REMINDER: Wisconsin has same-day voter registration.

So, if you haven’t registered or recently moved or anything like that, you can register at your polling place (with ID and proof of residence) TODAY.

Every state should do this. It’s great that Wisconsin does this. Go vote.

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

Today is the day!
My mission: to only support small local businesses and use cash.
Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities.

That means:
🚫 No gas from corporate giants
🚫 No fast food chains
🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

Did you know?

There’s a directory of Black farmers: “The Black Farmers Index.”

Buy and uplift local. Many are small-scale specialists and located in urban areas. I found an organic resource in my area that I will definitely check out.

Received a letter from POTUS today purporting to remove me as Commissioner and Chair of the FEC. There's a legal way to replace FEC commissioners-this isn't it. I've been so fortunate to serve the American people and stir up some good trouble along the way. That's not changing anytime soon.

Definitely valid point. Glad I registered for credit monitoring but will also make an inquiry with our financial institutions.
If you were paying for any forgiven loans via your bank account, you might want to move your funds…..
If you have ever received treasury payments - tax returns, student loans, financial aid, social security, etc. Call your bank, mortgage company, credit card company, university. Express concerns about the federal personal data breach. Ask how they will protect your information. Put on the pressure!
