old Soviet joke for our times:

Guy stops by the newsstand every day, scans the front page, doesn’t buy the paper. One day the vendor asks what he’s up to.

Guy says: “looking for an obituary.”

Vendor says “those are towards the back of the paper, comrade.”

Guy says: “not the one I’m looking for.”

I haven't changed my tone on crypto from day one.

This reserve is the Big Scam(tm).

I don't argue with y'all. I don't pretend that my decades of academic and lived experience are equal to your 2 second searches and misplaced confidence. I'm not here to make you feel more knowledgeable than you are

This struck me as the perfect distillation of JD Vance. He is a shockingly incurious and unserious guy who has faked his way into the center of power and now thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room.
Still processing the fact that Zelensky asked Vance “Have you ever actually been to Ukraine?” and his response was that he’s watched and seen some videos.

A week ago, Pam Bondi went on Fox News claiming the files were sitting on her desk. Now, in a fabricated letter to Kash Patel, she insists she never received them.

Congrats on shifting the news cycle. Lie better.

lol this take is DRENCHED in privilege.

Marginalized people cannot afford to be apolitical because our very identity IS POLITICAL. Activism isn't some cute hobby folks are engaging in. People are advocating for their SURVIVAL.

This isn't meant to be a dunk, but I'm genuinely surprised when people don't understand that journalists generally cannot take part in activism if they want to be taken seriously as journalists

Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating.

This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens.

(Even better: Tesla will hate this)
Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe
Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.
