I OWN THE TUTENSTEIN RIGHTS. This question comes up often and it’s high time to officially clarify. Wanna make a new TUTENSTEIN cartoon? I’m the only one you need to ask. 10 years after the airing of the last Emmy Award winning animated episode, all rights reverted to me in 2018. He’s my mummy.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Haven’t been posting much for a while… been through hell, you guys, but I’m back just in time for All Hallows. Happy harvest!

Missed the issues? No problem…
Just finished Epitaphs From the Abyss Vol. 1 — had a blast with it. EC-style anthology horror brought into today: creepy art, pulpy twists, & stories that are just plain gory fun.

Spooky, campy, & a worthy revival of the EC vibe.

Did you know Doc Saturday ( The Dad) from The Secret Saturdays was Black. And his character design was based on Harry Belafonte?

Correct! I'm a big Jonny Quest fan, and Hanna-Barbera adventure hero cartoons in general.
Anyone watch The Secret Saturdays?

It had a lot of Jonny Quest in its feel

They had evil mirror universe versions, downnto the Eyepatch of Evil.

I love these.
Death at the door, the uninvited guest... so sharply dressed, so ominous, who is he here to see, who will he drag to the afterl... NOT TODAY DEATH.
With a barrage of bottles he's kicked out and quickly escapes out the window.
Not today.

A cool hybrid of Johnny Quest and The Wild Thornberrys, The Secret Saturdays is a wild ride of a Saturday morning cartoon, and the intro really captures the broad spectrum of what you can expect from the actual show. Also a big fat "fuck you" to every bigot who hates interracial couples with kids!
