Fantastic Planet (La Planète Sauvage) was released in 1973. I saw it when I was very young and it was my first introduction to animated science fiction and work of this kind. It remains one of my favourite styles of artwork. Perhaps that's why I love seeing artwork like this in games. #Warcraft

Today is the birthday of legendary artist & writer Darwyn Cooke (Nov. 16, 1962-May 14, 2016).

Just finished Epitaphs From the Abyss Vol. 1 — had a blast with it. EC-style anthology horror brought into today: creepy art, pulpy twists, & stories that are just plain gory fun.

Spooky, campy, & a worthy revival of the EC vibe.
