i have worked on some high follower/celeb accounts where there were LAYERS to make sure this doesn't happen. That the WHITE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS STAFF doesn't have this discipline would be a scandal in any non-cursed timeline where everyone would panic about hacks

but we all know who posted it

you know it's bad when they would rather us think that a rando staffer has unfettered access to the social media accounts of the President of the United States, where we also now know that world leaders direct message him

Don't. Print. Lies. In. The. Newspapers.

The only thing we/you <know> is that the US military, at Trump &/or Hegseth's orders, just murdered more civilians on the high seas. We don't know it was "a suspected drug smuggling boat" & we have absolutely zero reason to believe anything they say anymore.
The latest U.S. strike on a suspected drug smuggling boat has killed two people in the Pacific, this one authorized by the Marine general who took command of military operations in Latin America and the Caribbean earlier in the day.

Fun thought experiment: Imagine if Biden told Ted Cruz he would withhold funds for a new highway overpass in Dallas until Cruz agreed to name the entire Texas interstate system after him.
Once again, this would be a Defcon 1 level scandal for any other president and spark weeks of intense media coverage and calls for impeachment.

For Trump, it is merely a Thursday.

Was driving my kids to school and the first thing on the radio was reporting about Trump's video depicting the Obamas as apes and I think many people still don't fully appreciate what it means to have to raise Black children in a country where the president is so brazenly and consistently racist

Posting something that blatantly racist, or allowing a staffer access to the president’s account with no indication it’s not him posting something that blatantly racist are both impeachable offenses.

The fact Republicans refuse to impeach him makes them complicit in all his crimes.

Let me see if I understand: a "staffer" acting alone, without any approvals process, had access to the social media account of the most powerful person in the world--who has the power to instigate a nuclear war (let alone start one)--and we're supposed to accept that and move on?

They didn’t delete the meme or blame a staffer because they realized it was racist and the right thing to do.

They didn’t because of public outrage.

They did it because Republican senators FINALLY spoke out and they backed down.

There’s a lesson in that if they will learn it.

VA Gov. Spanberger (moderate, was in CIA) and NYC Mayor Mamdani (left, is in DSA) both taking steps to block local law enforcement from helping ICE as it violently violates people's rights is a good example of how the relevant divide in the Dem coalition isn't center-left, it's fight-don't fight.

Oh, I know this one! Because they're lying!
Why didn’t Karoline Leavitt initially say the video was wrong, was posted by a staffer, and apologize?

She did none of those things.

She just blamed Democrats for “fake outrage.”

for better or worse, people will forget about that video by the end of the year, if not end of the month. but when trump finally kicks the bucket, there were be orgasmic celebrations across the US & around the world. he will be remembered as the most despised US president since WWII for generations

Three-time Trump voter: I'm looking at this awful picture of the Obamas. What an embarrassment to our country. He is not worthy of the presidency. He takes bribes blatantly, and now he's being a racist blatantly. He's pathetic as a president, and I want to apologize for supporting this rotten man.

1. It was not an accident.
2. It was not a staffer.
3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

I mean this was a known thing about him, for decades. Media coverage should be instead focusing on why TPUSA keeps platforming people who are supposedly at odds with their values. This is a story about the constellation of conservative media and what it says vs. what it does.
