So I read this, and I think what makes it art and not "content" or "slop" is the bravery it takes to DO IT
it's having the audacity/bravery/excitement/whatever to take nothing and make it SOMETHING in the face of the constant horrors of existence that makes whatever it is

When I imagine "diverse stories I have never heard before," I gotta be honest... I can't imagine what a cis White male one would sound like. I don't have any problem with cis White male authors, but virtually all other groups adjacent to them can tell the same stories with more awareness. 🤷🏿♂️

Why is this important nowadays? As people "vibe code" (relying on AI assistance to write code), they are discovering that the tech debt of using code you don't understand can rapidly eclipse the value of the entire project; you get 80% done and realize the last 20% will take double the time/budget!

My advice for having a nice bluesky experience:
- follow *and boost* anybody who posts weird/interesting stuff. If your paths diverge you can mute them
- interact with people in good faith and you'll often be met with the same (and gain followers)
- post the kinds of things you want to see more of!

Look….. I know I’m an adult so it’s different…… but I feel like this year’s Christmas is the least Christmas-y I’ve ever experienced.
Personally, because of all of the horror we’ve had this year. But also commercially, I feel like even companies are phoning it in or not even acknowledging it.

My DnD hot take is that any casting class that learns spells (and does not know them inherently like a sorcerer) should have a wizard spell book feature appropriately themed to their class (music binder for bards, inventions for artifcers, etc...). You cannot change my mind on this.
