@kateshaw.bsky.social in the NYT, Adrian Vermeule opined that what was undermining the rule of law was the action of the district courts and not Trump or the Supreme Court. I’m not a lawyer, but that seems wrong to me. He also states that the President in some cases could ignore the court.

In 2024, the per capita amount of federal taxes was $14,996. We should increase Fed. spending in the states that pay more than that by the amount they exceed per capita. Conversely, we should reduce the amount of Fed. spending in any state that doesn’t reach that amount by the amount it falls short.

I haven’t seen a lot of discussion about the fact that much of the cuts in Medicaid won’t happen until 2029, after Trump is president. The cowardice of this delay can’t be overstated. I’m sure the Reprobates don’t want those cuts to become very real before the next congressional election.
