I know it’s important (and more sensational) to focus on the far right, but it’s the so-called moderates and centrists who have spent and, I suspect, will continue to spend the most money trying to discredit anything Mamdani does or says.
The Democrats won big on Tuesday. The far-right's response? Slurs, slurs, and more slurs.
Dems won. Cue the far-right crash-out.

This isn’t the first time. Or the second. Allegations related to sexual harassment and assault involving Smith go back over 20 years.

If CPC HQ doesn't think we notice that they trot out smirking Andrew Scheer every time Poilievre gets himself or the party into a pickle, lemme say clearly, we notice.

I heard a similar line from @profgalloway.com, who seems a bit offended that Mamdani wouldn’t come on his show for an interview when Galloway persistently misrepresents Mamdani’s grocery policy and consistently mispronounces his last name (6 times on todays’ Pivot alone).
Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

Still really bothered by this. I love the way Queen's Park was redone recently, with a bit of low key elegant European park style combined with Canadian tree park. We don't need a lot of parks like that but it's good to have one.

This excerpt from Ross Douthat's (frequently renamed) "Women Ruin Work" panel in the NYT today reads like a 10-year-old blog post from a campus conservative. And, of course, the panellists lament the end of "conversation" in a discussion which doesn't include anyone with a contrary position.

NYT updated the title, but it's hardly an improvement. Using a bad photo of Douthat as the key art is a great choice, though.

Lesson to Canadian mayors: you can stand up to premiers. They’ve got the power but you have the people.
Lesson to Ontario liberals as they search for someone again
Zohran Mamdani overcoming a nationwide smear campaign from both sides of the establishment once again proves that there is no substitute for simply being the person you say you are.

What does Toronto take away from Zohran’s incredible win? At first glance, not much. Chow is no Zohran and the addition of a proper leftie to the race would only split the vote and make it easier for someone like Bradford to come up the middle. Shame we can’t primary Chow.

What impresses me most about @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social is that he wants to be Mayor of New York, knowing it guarantees a multi-year assault on every aspect of his life and an unprecedented amount of money spent subverting his administration. Still he says, "Yeah, I must do this." Respect, man.

I imagine New Yorkers would welcome the departure of a Boston chode who thinks that just because he likes pizza he can tell New York what's what.
now that's what I call a Mamdani endorsement. Don't threaten New Yorkers with a good time, Dave. www.yahoo.com/news/article...
