People posting about how they’ve never seen em dashes used before the rise of ChatGPT are really great at telling folks they’ve never read a book before.

I just read this Variety hit job in which it's clear that Disney is trying to pin the failure of Snow White on Rachel Zegler. I'm confused: Did she make the studio spend $270 million on an unasked-for remake of a 90-year-old piece of IP?

Slept through my alarm for the Golden Globes live announcement, but I just wanna say I predicted Pamela Anderson, Kate Winslet, Amy Adams, Sebastian Stan double nom, Jeremy Strong, Margaret Qualley and SEPTEMBER 5.

Wow! Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are both *incredible* in WICKED. I definitely struggled with the washed-out cinematography at times, and this absolutely did not need to be split into two films, but I still had a total blast in my sold-out IMAX theater tonight! #WickedMovie✨

Netflix has a little over a month to figure this livestreaming thing out before the two big NFL Christmas Day games. Good luck with that…

Knew my luck would run out after scoring tickets to two separate 70mm IMAX screenings of INTERSTELLAR, but I didn’t think it would be at the expense of MCR Black Parade tour tickets 😭

Ticketmaster invented the waiting room before the actual queue just to make it hurt 10x more when you can’t get tickets to the MCR Black Parade reunion tour — and yet, I’d still rather have like 4000 people ahead of me than get left out of the game completely with Verified Fan sales. So here we are…

The year is 2024, and I’m listening to a new Linkin Park album. Still can hardly believe this is real…

Tonight I saw one of the most devastating films ever made — the second time I've seen it in a theater. I feel my heart burst into a million pieces whenever I revisit it.

GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES (1988) was the first Studio Ghibli film not directed by Hayao Miyazaki, and yet, it might be the best one.

threads is like if you could get an app that showed the channel you have to watch while pumping gas
Meta's Threads already looks cooked - users are down to 6 minutes a day and traffic is dropping. It's because it lacks any real reason to exist - it's a network that shows a deep and presumptuous contempt for what the user wants to see and do.

I agree, but I’m very curious to see how it handles opening up the site to just anyone, instead of requiring invite codes. That’ll be a true test.
I like it here and I don’t think a mega corp Twitter clone can kill spaces like these.

There is a high level of original thought and engagement, people care about each other and maintain a strong space minimizing bad faith, harassment, and disinfo, which lets people be themselves & build community
