Games I Finished in 2026:
#1 - Caput Mortum - A short and sweet dungeon crawler where you control your right arm with the thumbstick, solve puzzles, whack a few monsters, and have one really creepy game of hide and seek. Really smart player tutorialization throughout.
Think it says something that I mulled over this for a while and still couldn't think of something more cowardly and embittering than Rise of Skywalker. A vapid subreddit wishlist brought to life, and any vindication the chuds might have felt faded faster than it took to upload a YouTube rant.
fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

There's not a library staff still standing that wouldn't be willing to look you up on the computer if you forgot your card or just issue you a new one. These mannequin-faced mouthbreathers will lie about the dumbest shit.
Leavitt: "You need an ID to go and purchase alcohol. You need an ID to go to the library and check out a book. So the president thinks you should have an ID to vote in our nation's elections."

Trader Joe's canned smoked salmon is insanely good with a salad. Thank you for your attention on this matter.

Wait, that was Kid Rock in the weird RFK video going around? I didn't even recognize him without the "guy banned from the combo KFC/Taco Bell" outfit.

Maybe the best EA "Trax" list ever? MCR, New Found Glory, Autopilot Off, Pennywise, Rise Against, Bouncing Souls, Mooney Suzuki, Ramones, Yellowcard, early Fall Out Boy...
Burnout 3 is underrated as one of the very, very best games of all time because you can show Burnout 3 footage to people two decades later and their reaction will still be "hell yeah, this rules. I wanna play this right now."

I've said it before but I'll say it again. In 2019, I met a man who grew up in a Japanese American internment camp at the JANM in LA. I asked him the obvious question: How do you feel about Trump? He said "we're doing it again."
I spent my childhood inside of American concentration camps. I know one when I see one. And that is what ICE is building.

Tomorrow you may see James David Vance or some other purported Catholic from this administration with ashes on their forehead, it’s important to remember that it’s all just for show.
After a discussion with their attorney, I have confirmed that Juan, his 16-month-old sister, his mom, and his dad have been deported.

Texted the building handyman. An hour later I hear what sounds like someone violently beating a hunk of plastic and lo and behold, an angel among men, walks by with a metal pole in his hands like "yeah, that was me." No more beeping. 😻
I love my apartment community, warts and all, but my most Karen-coded belief is that if you let your smoke alarm go for 5+ hours, I am allowed to be a petty jerk.

If I ran a major video game engine company, I would simply not tell my userbase I hate their guts and hope they starve. I am available for consultation at a reasonable price.

Suddenly struck with the urge to invest a ton of money in uBreakiFix...
I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.

So a few months ago, I met a Japanese-American couple running an okonomiyaki popup that goes around the bay area. Talked about their roots and my art. Today I gave them a painting of them + their daughter and they were so grateful. More importantly, I'm grateful for folks like these in my community.

An immense and detailed breakdown of Japanese cinema through the lens of one of its grandfathers. Took quite a while to finish (double column pages, woof) but ultimately so happy I found this bio of Ishiro Honda.

I will not vote for a politician who doesn't begin at "imprison CBP agents."
CBP didn’t give her or anyone any water; she asked 3 times accg to other reports. CBP killed a 7yr old.

Kind of amazing that some cocktail of greed and laziness has led to multiple streaming platforms being like "yo FUCK deaf people."

Happy Rally Sweden kickoff day. Excited to watch a bunch of Europeans freeze their asses off while I drink hot Mexican mocha coffee from the comfort of my home office.

About 35 hours into Hades II, thought I was starting to really lose interest. Suddenly unlock the weapon that turns Melinoe into a fucking Armored Core and uhhh we are so back?

If you're in a games industry union and working on a live-service game, you probably need to get your CEO on the record committing to reserving enough funds to avoid layoffs at least X months after a GaaS release. IDK, I'm spitballing. But if they can't plan that far ahead on their own...

Feels like we've reached a critical mass of lumbering live service games dead before they've gotten their due, and a big reason why is nobody wants to drop $$ on a game that will very likely be dead within six months to a year - if that. It's Netflix canceling a solid show before season 3.
