Theatre person, offbeat observer, and idiosyncratic INFJ. NYC/NJ native, AVL longtimer, and ROC transplant.
A friend in Asheville is dealing with something and reached out to acquaintances known through me for a trusted backup for help I'd've provided. That makes me feel good as a connector, and I also ache about being away from my deepest connections, which remain stronger than ever a decade later.

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

He’s proven—again—that there are no bounds to how low he’s willing to go.

This is absolutely disgusting, and Americans deserve better than this cowardly, chaos-driven clown show. (2/2)

Just so we’re ALL clear: the President of the United States made death threats toward sitting Democratic members of Congress.

But they’re always claiming Democrats are the dangerous ones, right?

My office is moving, so I did my mandatory three office days Monday through today. We're WFH next week and the first week of December, so I get to work with my cat!

I really enjoyed "Wicked: For Good." Not all the young children in the audience, though.

What a world we live in when People magazine reports the full story on this president and the NYT does not.

A mini IKEA in Syracuse is a win for NYS. I was always partial to the proposal of a Rochester suburb, but developers' proposals weren't good and, as a location, Syracuse better serves the state more broadly.

I lost my job, my kids have measles, and it is now clear to me that the President of the United States is a pedophile. But at least I know that the Cracker Barrel logo won't be changed any time soon.

He is dying. It’s clear to see. But he will drag us all down before he goes. He will starve as many children as possible and separate all the families he can. He will fill his already fat pockets with money meant for disabled veterans and the unhoused. He will spread misery until his last breath.

People who talk to other adults like they were their children? Can we fucking ban them?

Oh, Kim Davis. Everyone on SCOTUS except Clarence Thomas thinks you're batshit.
Kim Davis is so angry that the Supreme Court failed to uphold her deeply held religious belief that "marriage is sacred," she's threatening to get three MORE divorces.

Autocorrect's oft-wrong suggestions have led to lots of people not understanding how plurals and apostrophes work, matters that were confusing already to native English speakers when writing.
