For the first time in 11 or 12 weeks, since my exploratory surgery, I feel confident enough in the main incision’s healing to wear leggings with an elastic waistband. This is huge progress!

Aleya is safe with me and didn’t escape, but she did manage to slip out of her collar between 12:47 and 12:54 today. I’m not sure if she was outside between those two times, but we can’t find the collar anywhere, inside or out.

It’s currently 36 degrees out, and Aleya has refused to come in for the last half hour.
I suspect I’m barely going to see her this winter.
