Charitably, this article is a case study in how capitalism creates a market for a product that we neither wanted nor knew we needed.

But I wish the Guardian could be a bit more direct in calling this out.

The big stink: is ‘genital anxiety’ behind the rapid rise of whole-body deodorants?
In the past we would just deodorise our armpits, but now a huge wave of products are aimed at our most intimate areas. Do these serve a need – or just encourage paranoia?

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

The attack on DEI shows why liberals should stop arguing about "strategic" use of language forever. DEI stands for three uncontroversial virtues that most every American accepts, and the right still turned it into a vile slur. It doesn't matter what you say - they will poison it because YOU said it.

Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression.

A small point in the context of all this (gestures around) but Ukraine also lost an awful lot of people in WW2 and perhaps Trump should chat to Zelensky about that too.

Agreed. Republicans ducked their duty to impeach Trump, on the plea that he was finished & it was time to "move on".

The Right cannot complain of "lawfare" - the use of legal, instead of political checks on power -if they make it impossible to use the political checks that the constitution provides
